Working with a minimal, yet bold grid designed by the always excellent, über-talented Plural, I developed a custom Ruby on Rails application for Volume Gallery, an event-based gallery from Chicago focusing on American design. The custom CMS and HTML templates allow Volume to easily manage upcoming gallery events, news, pages, and a mailing list. Designed by Plural.

IAmOnMTV.com

  • Dev Manager
  • Ruby on Rails
  • HTML + CSS

MTV's IAmOnMTV.com presented a unique challenge: take an existing and active PHP site and database, convert the codebase to Ruby on Rails, add new features, redo the CMS, improve the design, and migrate 300,000 users and their data to a new database — all without taking the site offline. I managed and developed with a team of 4, and we pulled it off. This project was completed while employed at The Killswitch Collective.

Analog Works

  • Screenprint
  • Oil
  • Watercolor
  • Conté
  • Charcoal

A collection of artwork created with various types of media over the past few years. I always find it relaxing and rewarding to step away from the computer for a time, turn up the music, and dabble in the analog world. Solutions to all sorts of unrelated digital problems unravel while my mind is able to wander in front of the easel.
